Founded in 2020 out of the absolute desire to connect and empower black female engineers of all stages through sharing career experiences, success stories and opportunities.
BWEng is a global network and community of professionals in the engineering industry aligned around a collective goal to connect, empower and advance black female engineers/engineering leaders across all sectors and disciplines.
We aim to create a network where Black female engineers and allies can connect for the advancement of a more racially diverse [and gender balanced] engineering community.

Is to increase the visibility and champion the positive impact of women engineers and role models across all levels, disciplines and industries. To provide the tools that will enable them to succeed in their careers while inspiring the next generation of young black girls into engineering.

Is to build a global network and community where black women in engineering and allies can thrive without bounds or barriers. To nurture ours and future generations of black women engineers to come.Â
